About Our Temple
In the 1960s, the Maasai, Johor area was largely inhabited by Tamils. With the intention of having a place of worship in the residential area, Mr. Muthuswamy and Mr. Subramaniam decided to build a Sri Subramaniam temple together. The construction of the temple and its formation as a religious organization were completed through the collaboration of the government and the public. In 1964, development activities commenced, funded jointly by the government and the public.The consecration ceremony, known as Kumbabishekam, took place in 1968 and was celebrated with great splendor. Following this, the temple experienced significant growth, with various facilities being added. The temple been registered and hosts elaborate festivals and events for the worship of Lord Murugan. The Sri Subramaniyar Temple stands as a significant center for the religious practices of the people in the region, symbolizing their devotion and cultural identity.
