About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Sivasamy Sundari Temple is located in Kangar Pulai, Johor. In the 1960s, Tamil laborers working in the plantation of a Chinese landowner established a shrine for Lord Muniswaran. Later, the estate management, in collaboration with devotees, relocated the temple from the plantation to a more prominent location. Subsequently, in 2004, a new temple was constructed, and a Khumbabishegam ceremony took place, transforming it into the Sri Maha Sivasamy Sundari Temple. Following this, an application was submitted to the government to acquire the land where the temple was currently situated. Eventually, the land was granted to the temple, making it the permanent and official site for the Sri Maha Sivasamy Sundari Temple.

From 2004 onwards, this temple has been home to two snakes (Nagas), serpent deities. The main sanctum of the temple is dedicated to Goddess Karumariamman and the Naga. The temple also houses the shrine of Sai Baba. Many devotees tie a red holy thread with a silver coin in the temple's courtyard as a gesture for good health.
