About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, located in Kulai, Johor, is believed to have been established in 1883 by Mr. Nagappan Chettiar. In its early days, the goddess's images were worshipped in a hut made of wooden planks. Over time, the Tamil community living in the area came together to form a new management committee. With the support of this committee and contributions from the public, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was rebuilt as a new structure. The temple is now officially registered, and all rituals and festivals are conducted with great devotion. Today, it stands as a significant place of worship and celebrates the annual festival of Aadi in July with joy.
