About Our Temple
Sri Santha Thurga Thevi Temple is located at the Airport Camp, Sungai Petani, Kedah. This temple was established in 1870 by the local community due to the absence of a nearby temple for their worship. The Gurkha, who served as the founder of the temple, registered the temple land and took over its management. During the Gurkha's presence, buffaloes are ritually slaughtered for the deity, as they believe the temple radiates positive energy. The temple is officially registered and every year it celebrates the Adi festival on a grand scale.
