About Our Temple
Constructed in 1910 by Tamil laborers from the Diamond Jubilee Estate, the Sri Muneeswarar Temple originated as a modest hut and has since evolved to encompass multiple shrines dedicated to Lord Muneeswarar and Madurai Veeran as primary deities, portrayed with great reverence. In 1988, significant renovations and expansion were made possible by a generous donation from Datuk Sri Samy Velu. The temple's management expenses were efficiently handled by Mr. Raman and Mr. Letchumanan, with financial contributions from former trustee Mr. Gopi. The temple's primary celebration is the grand 108 Sangabhishekam festival, marked by processions, dances, and elaborate feasts. Managing the temple, the latest additions to the team, Mr. Mohan Karuppiah and Mr. Ilango, both grew up in the temple's vicinity. Presently, the temple lacks official registration with Malaysian authorities, but steps are being taken to rectify this situation.
