About Our Temple
The Arulmigu Thandayuthapani Temple in Jalan Kuel, Johor Bahru, holds considerable religious significance. Initially, Tamil residents residing in the estate areas would venerate Lord Murugan by carrying a small spear (Vel). Over time, with the backing of temple management and devotees, the old temple underwent renovation and evolved into the present Arulmigu Sri Thandayuthapani Temple. Although detailed historical documentation of this transformation is limited, the temple is now a prominent hub for devotees under the diligent supervision of its management. It has been officially registered, and all rituals, particularly those honoring Lord Murugan, are conducted with magnificence. Noteworthy occasions such as Thaipusam and Kanda Sashti witness large congregations of devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Murugan.
