About Our Temple
In 1919, the temple was established by a supervisor named Mr. Ponnusamy, who initiated prayers after planting a tree. In 1948, Mr. Singgaram, a priest, constructed a small hut and began worshiping Dewi Amman with a statue placed inside. Later, Mr. Govindasamy planted a peepal tree near the hut, placed a statue of Lord Muniandy beneath it, and commenced worship. The two temples were amalgamated into a larger one in 1959, with financial support from Mr. Govindasamy. In 1992, Mr. Gopal Nadesan contributed to the temple during an annual celebration, leading to various improvements and making it a focal point for the local community.
