About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Karumariamman Temple was established in the 1950s by Tamil workers employed at the Sungai Tukong Estate. Initially, the workers set up a shrine for Karumariamman in their residential area within the estate and worshipped there. Later, when the estate was divided and sold, the temple had to be relocated. In 1998, a formal request was made to the government for a dedicated piece of land for the temple. The government allocated land at the current site, and with the support of the temple management and devotees, a new temple was constructed and consecrated through a Kumbabishegam ceremony. The temple is now officially registered, and all rituals and ceremonies are conducted with great devotion.
