About Our Temple
In 1960, a scholar named Mr. Balakrishnan initiated the establishment of the temple in the Ching Lian estate. Over time, the number of devotees steadily increased. The area, initially known as Taman Garing during British rule, was later renamed Ching Lian Park under Chinese administration. Presently, the Scientex company has taken over this land and is implementing a housing project. Some years ago, the temple management engaged in negotiations with the company, leading to the allocation of land for the temple by the landowner. Annually, Mariyamman festival is celebrated in the month of Karthikai which falls in November/December, drawing individuals who used to reside in the area for the temple's festival. The temple has undergone two Kumbabhishekam ceremonies, with the most recent one taking place in 2007. In the year 2000, the temple management officially registered as a devotee association with the Malaysian Community Registry.
