About Our Temple
The Maha Mariamman Temple, constructed in 1960 by the Bekoh Estate Tamils, holds significant importance as a place of worship for the Tamil community. In 1996, the Malacca State Development Corporation took over the farm for an urban development project. Collaborating with the corporation, new land was allocated for the temple's construction, accompanied by a substantial financial contribution. Utilizing this funding, a new temple was erected in 1996, and the inaugural Kumbabhishekam ceremony was conducted. In addition to providing land for the temple, both organizations also donated 3 acres of land near the temple premises for the establishment of a new Tamil school. Annually, a festival is celebrated in August at this temple on the day of Aadi Puram.
