About Our Temple
Prior to the 1990s, this temple served as a place of worship for Hindus employed in rubber plantations. However, due to a lack of approval from local authorities, the temple had to undergo relocation. Despite conducting religious ceremonies in a limited space, the National Land Fund Cooperative has procured land in a nearby park with intentions to expand and enhance the temple. The temple, with a structure reaching 10,000 square feet, has set aside an additional 10,000 square feet for supplementary facilities. Currently situated in the Bestari residential area, the temple held its inaugural Kumbabhishekam ceremony in 2018. The Mariamman festival, accompanied by ritual prayers, extends over a 20-day period during the month of Aadi and has been consistently observed for more than two decades. Furthermore, the temple administration is actively engaged in the construction of a versatile hall in close proximity to the temple. The architectural design of the temple is distinctly impressive and aesthetically pleasing.
