About Our Temple

Two decades ago, the Tamil community residing in Bukit Kathong Ring Estate took the initiative to establish a Tamil school and Mariamman temple. Subsequently, the Tamil school was relocated to another site with governmental assistance. In the 1980s, through the collaborative efforts of Mr. Sivaperumal, Datuk Karuppan, Mr. Raja Gounder, and Mr. Chokkalingam, a separate piece of land was prepared for the construction of a new temple building. The inaugural Kumbabhishekam ceremony was conducted in 1987. Originally, the temple land was under the administration of the estate; however, 38 devotees pooled funds to purchase half an acre of land from the farm administrator and generously allocated it to the temple. Presently, the temple has undergone renovations, showcasing a stunning golden exterior. Additionally, statues of Hanuman, Perumal, and Ramar have been installed within the temple premises.
