About Our Temple

A century ago, farm workers from Tamil Nadu initiated the establishment of the Nagakanni temple in a small shed. The discovery of an idol near a nearby well further solidified its significance. In 1991, Mr. Ayyaswamy Kulanthai attempted to establish a temple dedicated to Sri Maha Mariamman; however, Goddess Nagakanni remains the primary deity worshipped in this temple. Despite the transfer of the farm's ownership to another party, the temple land still remains under the ownership of the original farm. Despite the sparsity of inhabitants in the area today, the farm administration does not prohibit anyone from visiting the temple. Managed by Mr. Ayyasamy's family, the temple continues to be frequented by nearby Tamils who regularly engage in worship.
