About Our Temple
In the 1920s, laborers from Tamil Nadu constructed the Maha Mariamman temple on a farm and engaged in worship. Initially, Goddess Mariamman was venerated in a small shed made of boards and zinc. Through the devotion of the followers, the temple underwent expansion in the 1960s, and numerous alterations were made to the temple building until 2017. Despite the Tamil community migrating from the farm to other locations, they continue to visit the temple regularly for worship. In 2017, the temple underwent comprehensive renovations, culminating in the performance of Kumbabhishekam. An annual festival dedicated to Goddess Mariamman is observed for four consecutive days every July and August. Families and descendants of those who worked on the farm consider this place their ancestral home and actively participate in the annual festival. The event serves as an opportunity for them to reconnect with friends and relatives. It's worth noting that this temple has not been officially registered to date.
