About Our Temple
The temple in Ayer Panas Park, established in 1911 by Mr. Chinnaiya, a foreman, has undergone three relocations within the same garden. The current ownership of the farm lies with the Sime Darby Group. The temple management is actively engaged in securing land for the temple in collaboration with landowners and the state government. Presently, renovation work is in progress for the construction of a new temple building. Despite many residents of the park migrating to other places, they continue to visit the temple for prayers. Annually, in March, the Mariamman festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm, featuring the main attraction of fire walking (Theemithi). Workers who previously resided here, along with their family members, heirs, and relatives, actively participate in the 11-day celebration. Devotees believe in the powerful presence of Goddess Maha Mariamman, prompting them to visit and join the festival from wherever they are located. The successful Kumbabhishekam in 2007 marked a milestone, and the ongoing temple restoration work is in progress. The next Kumbabhishekam is planned upon the completion of the renovation of the new building. The temple administration received official registration in 2013.
