About Our Temple

The Devi Sri Maha Mariamman temple in Taman Kemuning, Tebong, traces its origins back to 1939 when it was established by the Tamils residing in the area. Given the diverse Malayalam community living in the area, Lord Muttappan is also worshipped in this temple. Initially, the temple was constructed as a small shed. However, in the 1960s, Mr. C.K. Parameswaram Nair played a pivotal role by contributing both effort and financial support to renovate and expand the temple. Despite not having a separate land registration, the temple management diligently oversees its maintenance. The temple hosts various religious events and festivals seamlessly. The administration actively engages in bringing in religious scholars, organizing classes, seminars, and training sessions for the community's benefit. Additionally, special evening classes cater to students. Esteemed individuals like Variyar Swami and Haridas Swami from Tamil Nadu frequently visit to perform religious rituals.
