About Our Temple
Constructed in 1950, this temple stands near the residential quarters of Hindu laborers employed in the New South section of the Kempas Estate. Situated by the roadside, the temple boasts a captivating structure. In 2001, significant renovations were undertaken, culminating in the observance of the Kumbabhishekam ceremony later that year. Presently, the surrounding area is uninhabited, yet individuals who once worked in this locale and their family regularly visit the temple for prayers. Dedicated to Devi Sri Maha Mariamman, the temple hosts an annual festival spanning 14 days. Ceremonies honoring Lord Murugan and Vinayagar also take place within its premises. Over the years, the temple has undergone two Kumbabhishekam ceremonies.
