About Our Temple
In 1930, workers employed at Diamond Jubilee Union Television established the Mahamariamman Temple. In 1950, the temple was relocated from its original location to the present one. This move occurred after the nation gained independence, and it was handed over to the Sime Darby Corporation. When rubber trees were cleared for planting oil palm, Hindu families, despite moving to nearby residential areas, continued to participate in the temple's rituals and events. The Sime Darby Corporation later sold this estate to Paduan Realty Sdn for redevelopment purposes. Despite this, the corporation retains ownership of the land earmarked for the temple. The temple management is currently planning the construction of a new temple in this location.
