About Our Temple
Following the year 1950, workers from the Bertam Estate constructed a Sri Subramaniar temple to serve as a protective deity. An initial Sri Subramaniyar temple had already been established in the Parit Melana section of the Bertam Estate back in 1936. The ownership of the estate has since transitioned from the Guthrie Group to the IOI Group. With support from the Melaka State Government, the temple management worked to secure land for the temple within this estate, successfully acquiring the necessary space. The temple is frequently utilized by Hindus residing in nearby housing estates, where daily evening puja ceremonies take place. Special religious rituals are organized during significant Hindu festivals, with a particularly vibrant celebration occurring for 11 consecutive days on Chitra Poornami in April or May each year. The temple's management formally registered the temple in 2011, and in 2014, the second Kumbabhishekam ceremony for the temple was successfully conducted.
