About Our Temple
The Maha Mariamman Ladang Terangthang Temple was established in 1918 by Mr. Gopal Mandore, a local resident, with the assistance of the British government. The land for the temple originally belonged to Golden Hope Estates. Initially, worship was conducted under a tree, with the temple being a simple structure. Later, the temple administration, along with devotees and some generous individuals, built a new temple. The land where the temple currently stands is now under the management of TMB (Tin Mining Board). A formal request has been made to the government to transfer the ownership of the land to the temple, and the temple administration is actively pursuing this. The temple is officially registered and continues to operate successfully. It serves as an important place of worship for the local community.
