About Our Temple
Construction of the Sri Balasubramaniar Temple commenced in 1943 in Karak, Pahang. During the 1940s, a Chettiar family settled in the area, prompted by a remarkable dream experienced by the Chettiar's wife. In her dream, she witnessed a spear (Vel) positioned at the base of a tree, interpreting it as a divine directive for worship. Responding to this vision, the Chettiar placed a spear at the tree near their residence, initiating exclusive worship by their family. Motivated by this divine intervention, the local community united to construct a temple around the sAcred tree, dedicated to Lord Murugan. Over time, a devoted follower named Mr. Raju Mandor played a pivotal role in spearheading efforts to erect a new temple. In 1963, a Khumbabishegam ceremony marked the consecration of the new Sri Balasubramaniar Temple. Presently, the temple meticulously adheres to established procedures for all its rituals, conducting various ceremonies with unwavering devotion.
