About Our Temple

The Sri Maha Karumariyammann Temple was originally established in 1960 in Ladang Padang Penar Mandin. It is believed to have been founded by Mr. Krishnan, along with the estate workers of the Mondor estate, during the British colonial period. Initially, the worship was conducted in a small hut with Lord Muniswaran and Goddess Karumariyammann as the guardian deities. Later, the temple administration decided to renovate and expand the temple. With the help of devotees and some generous individuals, a new temple was constructed. The consecration ceremony (Kumbabhishekam) for the new temple was held in 1989.In 2012, due to urban development, the estate management allocated a separate piece of land for the temple. The temple is now officially registered and operates successfully, serving as an important place of worship for the local community.
