About Our Temple

In the early part of 1987, the temple was established as a small hut by the J.K.R. workers in Kampong Rumah Ibadhath. The J.K.R. workers living in the Rumah Ibadhath settlement began worshipping the statues of Devi Sri Maha Mariamman and Deva Muniswaran as their guardian deities. Due to disagreements with other communities regarding temple activities, the temple was relocated to a different area. As a result, the temple was moved to Jalan Pesar Pekan Mandin, where it currently stands. Mr. Sellakrishnan, the local representative at the time, played a significant role in both relocating the temple and securing land for the construction of the new temple. In 1997, a formal request was made to the government, and a dedicated plot of land for the temple was granted. In 2004, the construction of the new temple was completed, and the consecration ceremony (Kumbabhishekam) was held with great devotion. The temple now serves as an important place of worship for the people of Mandin and also houses a children's school.
