About Our Temple
Around 130 years ago, laborers on the Tebong estate established a Kaliyamman temple as a protective deity, where they conducted rituals involving animal sacrifices. Later, under the leadership of Mr. Viswanathan, Mr. Subpaiah Thiruswamy, and others, supported by the local Tamil community, a Mariamman temple was constructed. The estate management allocated 1 Acre of land for the temple, where three prominent deities—Mariamman, Iswaran, and Kaliamman—were enshrined. This aesthetically pleasing Mariamman temple stands in the heart of a farm. However, the temple does not possess official registration, and the land it occupies is not owned by the temple.
