About Our Temple
Approximately 120 years ago, the Arav Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was established in Perlis by Tamil people who lived in this area. In the initial days, a small makeshift temple was set up with a simple structure, and a spear was placed to symbolize Mariamman. Later, a Malay school was established in the area. Therefore, according to government regulations, the temple was relocated to its current location in 1999. Subsequently, with the efforts of temple administrators and devotees, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was constructed. Currently, all worship ceremonies and festivals at the temple are being conducted with great reverence.
