About Our Temple

In the 1890s, Tamils residing in the rubber plantations of South Seremban erected a Mariamman temple as a protective deity. The construction and maintenance of this temple were overseen by farm managers Thandal and Kangani. In 1938, the temple underwent renovation, culminating in the successful conduct of its inaugural Kumbaabhisegam ceremony later that same year. Subsequently, the ownership of the farm changed hands. In 1967, Tun V. T. Samanthan, the founder of NLFCS, acquired 1700 acres of land to alleviate the challenges faced by the Tamil community. Under the guidance of Captain Mr. Ramakrishnan, the temple underwent a comprehensive renovation, and a Kumbabhishekam ceremony was conducted. Presently, the temple is under the administrative control of NLFCS. It has been formally registered, and all religious ceremonies, or poojas, are being conducted smoothly.
