About Our Temple
In the 1960s, Tamil workers were employed at the Lam San Estate. In their residential area, they worshipped Lord Muniswaran and Goddess Mariamman as guardian deities by placing a trident under a tree. When the estate workers were eventually relocated, the original shrine was abandoned. Later, a new temple management team, with the permission of the estate administration, built a new temple in 1980 and performed its consecration ceremony (Kumbabishegam). The temple is now officially registered. Although the temple is located within the estate, special rituals and festivals continue to be conducted regularly. Former residents of the estate actively participate in these special events and festivals without fail.
