About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple at Stafield Mantin was established in 1955 by the estate workers. In 1975, the estate was sold to another party. However, through the efforts of Mr. Chinnasamy, the temple continued to function with permission from the estate management. In 2000, the temple underwent complete renovation and refurbishment. The consecration ceremony (Kumbabhishekam) for the newly renovated temple was conducted successfully. The annual festival on Mother's Day is celebrated with great devotion at this temple. Though the people who once lived in the estate have moved to suburban areas, they continue to actively participate in the special prayers and festivals held at the temple.
