About Our Temple
The Sabha, Sandakan Sri Siddhi Vinayakar Temple was established in 1990. Mr. Krishnan Sanmugam initiated the construction of the new temple in 1989 with the aim of providing a place of worship for the Hindu community living in the Sandakan area. Accordingly, the temple management and devotees contributed to the construction of the new temple. The new Sri Siddhi Vinayakar Temple was completed in 1991, and the first Kumbhabhishekam was conducted with great celebration. This event is a significant milestone in the lives of the Indian people in the Sandakan area. Notably, this Siddhi Vinayakar Temple is the only Hindu temple located in the Sandakan area, making it a crucial place of worship for the Tamil community residing there. Festivals such as Vinayakar Chaturthi, Thaipusam, and Panguni Uthiram are celebrated with great enthusiasm.
