About Our Temple
In the 1920s, the British enlisted the Tamil people to clear forests and establish farms. In response, the Tamil community, residing in forested areas, took measures to safeguard themselves against wildlife and diseases by erecting small temples in their residential zones to worship guardian deities. In Taman Pulai Indah, Johor Bahru, a Shiva temple was constructed following this tradition. By the 1960s, subsequent generations undertook a complete renovation of the temple. Subsequently, with the concerted efforts of the temple administration and the backing of devotees, the temple transformed into the Muniswara (Lord Shiva) Temple. Situated in the picturesque mountainous region, it is also referred to as the Shiva Mountain Temple. Currently, the temple is officially registered and carries out all its rituals and festivals with splendor.
