About Our Temple
The Sri Subramaniar Devasthanam Temple can be found in Pengkalan Hulu, Perak. It was established in 1924 by the local community residing in the area. Given the absence of any other nearby temples, this establishment was constructed to fulfill the community's need for a place of worship. A small hut made of wooden planks and a zinc roof was erected, housing an image of Lord Murugan, and the community offered prayers for their well-being. Devotees sought Lord Murugan's blessings to safeguard and fulfill their well-being through the granting of their prayers. Subsequently, with the guidance of a new temple management, the temple underwent a transformation into a stone-built structure, thanks to the financial contributions from the public. The temple has been officially registered and hosts a grand celebration of Thaipusam each year.
