About Our Temple
The late Mr. S. Manickam and the Hindu-Tamil community association in Pekan Sabak Bernam founded this temple in 1937. The district officer suggested that this temple be relocated once Malaysia attained independence. A 43,560 square foot block of land in Jalan Ladang was bought by the temple committee in 1960.for RM 15,000.00. This temple was successfully constructed in 1963 with RM25,000.00 in government funding help. YAB Dato Seri Harun Bin Idris, the Selangor Menteri Besar at the time, officially opened this temple. In addition, a modest hall was constructed with funding from the state of Selangor. In 2002, YB Tan Sri M. Mahalingam (EXCO) gave the hall its grand opening.
