About Our Temple
In 1890, agricultural labourers and Mr. M. Arumugam founded this shrine. There was a need for a temple for the workers to pray, and the temple was constructed with zinc roofing and wooden boards. Because Lord Muneswarar is said to protect his devotees, they prayed to him with great fervour. This temple was registered as Kallumalai Sri Muneeswarar Temple in the ROS in 1875. The management of the temple was instructed to move it to a new location due to development on the site where it previously stood, which belonged to KLK Kepong Berhad. After that, a cement structure temple was constructed atop the hill.
