About Our Temple
During the 1960s, the Tamil community residing in Kampong Baru Chenderiang, Perak, constructed the Sri Karumariamman Temple. Initially, worship was conducted using a spear (Soolam) in a makeshift temple comprised of wooden planks and a zinc roof. Subsequently, they introduced the worship of Goddess Karumariamman. With dedicated efforts from the temple management and devotees, a more substantial temple was erected, and a Kumbabishekam ceremony took place in 2014. Presently, Tamil residents from neighboring areas visit and engage in worship at this temple. The temple has attained proper registration, ensuring the execution of all rituals and festivals, with a special emphasis on the grand celebration of the Aadi festival.
