About Our Temple
The Devi Sri Maha Mariamman Temple located in Bandar Lukut, Port Dickson, is believed to have been established in 1922. Around 120 years ago, two workers from the Public Works Department (JKR) and plantation workers from Bukit Palong Lukut in Port Dickson came together to build this temple. In the early days, the deity Maha Mariamman was worshipped in a small hut. After nearly 30 years of persistent efforts, the government allocated a dedicated piece of land for the temple. With contributions from the temple administration, devotees, and generous individuals, a new temple was constructed, followed by a grand consecration ceremony (Kumbabhishekam). The current temple administration has officially registered the temple, ensuring proper management. All regular rituals and festivals are celebrated here with devotion and grandeur.

The Goddess is believed to fulfill all the desires of her devotees. The existing statue of the Goddess was imported from India and is reputed to be 320 years old. Another intriguing aspect is the frequent presence of a lengthy snake at the temple, with locals attributing it to Dewi Ambal's visitation. Furthermore, the milk poured on the statue of Dewi Ambal reportedly takes on a blue hue after the ritual bathing.
