About Our Temple
The Devi Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was started by the Tamil workers who were employed in the Lukut, Jemima estate, about a hundred years ago. In 1999, the estate was sold to Springhill Corporation. Due to the sale of the estate for urban development projects, a request was made to relocate the temple to another area. As a result, the temple administration formally petitioned Springhill Corporation and the government, securing a dedicated plot of land for the temple. A small temple was then constructed on this land, and worship has continued there. Currently, when this data was collected, efforts are underway to raise funds for the construction of a new temple.

The temple features two expansive sanctums dedicated to the worship of Amman and Shivan, leading to regular poojas being performed for both deities. Additionally, the Aadipura pooja in this temple is observed over a span of 12 days. During this period, a significant event known as chariot procession (Ratham oorvalam) takes place, where three deities, namely Vinayagar, Murugan, and Amman, are ceremoniously brought out for special rituals in the night.
