About Our Temple

Established by the Tamil community in the Perak region in 1917, the Sri Chithi Vinayagar Temple is situated in Bidor, Perak. Initially, basic rituals were conducted in the temple which was constructed from wooden planks and a zinc roof, focusing on the worship of Lord Vinayagar. Mr Sadaiyappar, the temple's founder, played a pivotal role in its development and the expansion of its premises. In 1918, Mr Sadaiyappar generously donated his personal land to the Perak state for the temple's benefit. Through the combined efforts of Mr Sadaiyappar, temple administrators, and devotees, a significant yet modest temple was consecrated in 1961. Under dedicated management, the temple thrived, and in 2010, a new statue of Lord Vinayagar was installed during the consecration ceremony in the main sanctum. The temple's administration also initiated the establishment of additional facilities such as a marriage hall, prayer hall, blood donation camp, and a hearse, contributing to the well-being of the Tamil community. The tem[le is actively involved in charitable activities and supports the Tamil society, students, and the underprivileged. Regular registrations and special celebrations make the temple a vibrant center for cultural and religious activities.
