About Our Temple
In 1970, Mr. Ehrambaran initiated the establishment of this temple beneath a bamboo tree in Lot Kampung MIC. The following year, Mr. Paramasivam, Mr. Muthusamy, and Mr. Velayutham relocated the temple to a government reserve by clearing the surrounding forest. In that same year, Tan Sri Pasamanikam, the Head of Johor State MIC, provided RM50 as an initial fund for the temple's construction. Using boards and zinc, a modest temple was constructed, housing the idol of Lord Murugan for worship. In 1972, Mr. Palani and Mr. Velayutham transported the statue of Lord Murugan from Sembrong Farm to the temple on a motorcycle. Funds for the temple's development were collected through Kumbabishegam from the residents of Kampung MIC. In 1989, the temple was officially registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS). Subsequently, it underwent expansion with contributions from devotees visiting the temple. In 2012, the temple was granted the reserved land on which it was built, leading to its current substantial size.
