About Our Temple

In the 1960s, Indian devotees established a temple, originally a small hut shrine, which was later expanded over the years. A century ago, statues of Ayya and Kaali were installed under banyan trees at two homes in Kuala Selangor. These statues, placed in white flower pots, eventually became the focal point of a modest temple constructed a few years later. In 1992, a stone temple was built, limited in size, where the statue of Lord Vinayagar was positioned in front of the Goddess Pechai Amman idol. Pechai Amman is venerated as the protective deity (Kuladeivam) at this temple. Traditionally, the Deepavali is celebrated at the temple and lunch is provided for fifty people, a practice that has been observed since ancient times.
