About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was established in 1963 by JKR (Public Works Department) workers. Initially, the workers worshipped under a tree by placing a spear (Soolam) and a small statue of Lord Muneeswarar. Later, with the help of temple administrators and devotees, a new temple was constructed. Accordingly, the Kumbabishekam of the new temple was held successfully in 1972. The temple celebrates the Aadi Pooram festival with great enthusiasm in the month of July. It also features a marriage hall with all necessary facilities. The temple has separate sanctums for several deities, including Maha Mariamman, Bhairavar, Muneeswarar, Vinayagar, and Murugan, where devotees come to worship.
