About Our Temple
In 1989, the temple was built by the People living in the rural area. It is believed that near the residential area, there was a snake mound where a serpent had taken shelter. The villagers would offer milk and eggs to the serpent as a form of worship. Later, through the efforts of Mr. Anand Rao, a spear (soolam) was placed near the snake mound, and the villagers began worshipping Nagamma (the serpent goddess). Subsequently, the devotees came together and constructed a small temple to house the deity. Today, the temple is dedicated to Nagamma, and prayers are offered regularly. Important rituals such as the worship for *Naga Dosham* (serpent-related dosham), *Amavasai Tharpanam* (ritual offering to ancestors on new moon day), and *Naga Panchami* (serpent festival) are conducted with devotion.
