About Our Temple
The Sri Mahamariamman Temple is situated in Ladang Pinang Tunggal, Sungai Petani, Kedah, and was constructed in 1929 by the plantation residents. Initially, it was a small hut made of wooden planks and a zinc roof, where residents placed an image of Amman for worship. The temple gained popularity among devotees who considered Goddess Amman as their guardian deity, believing that their troubles could be resolved through prayers to her. In subsequent years, under new management, the temple underwent renovations, and now it boasts a concrete building. The temple is officially registered and celebrates the annual festival in a grandly.
