About Our Temple
The Sri Naga Muthu Maariamman Temple, located in Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor, is believed to have been founded in 1973 by the local residents seeking a place for worship. Identifying a snake mound under a large tree, they constructed a small hut around it, placing a portrait of Goddess Naga Amman for worship. Subsequently, the new temple management replaced the hut with a stone structure. The temple is officially registered, and it hosts the annual celebration of Chitrai Thiruvilla, attracting a many of devotees during this festival.
