About Our Temple
This temple was established in Batu 4 Kampung Kuantan during the 1900s. The Chettiars were among the Hindu community who lived in this temple location. The land around the shrine is home to rubber plantations. The Chettiars had initially erected a spear (Vel) and held prayers in this temple. The temple committee eventually constructed a hut to house the spear after the Chettiars moved to India from Malaysia. With time, the villagers constructed the temple out of bricks and cement with a figure of Lord Dhandyuthabani. Hindu rituals were followed in 1975 when the fifth Kumbabishegam ceremony was held and repairs were completed. Numerous Kumbabisegams were held after that. The temple has been registred. Numerous devotees are drawn to the Panguni Uthiram festival.

This temple is special because of its "grinding stone" figure of Dewa Valampuri Vinayagar. Only in this particular temple is Valampuri Vinayagar located. The deity housed in this temple, Lord Dhandayuthabani, is sculpted and shaped exactly like the deity found at Palani, Tamil Nadu. Additionally, devotees frequently see Lord Dhandayuthabani in their dreams. When a devotee prays to Lord Dhandayuthabani, they will undoubtedly receive a solution to their difficulty. Furthermore, some believers encounter an old person who tells stories before abruptly disappearing. It is reported that as a worker was taking a break from work during the temple's renovations, he felt someone abruptly grab his shoulder and his fatigue disappeared immediately although there was no one around. So he believed that it was Lord Dhanyuthabani who came to meet the workers who were repairing the temple.
