About Our Temple
The Sri Subramaniar Temple was established in 1928 by railway workers. Initially, the workers worshipped by placing a small spear (Vel) and an image of Vinayagar at their workplace. Later, the area was requisitioned for railway purposes, and the workers moved to another piece of land, where they continued their worship in a small room. In 2009, the Sri Subramaniar Temple was constructed, and the Kumbabishekam was conducted. The temple is now officially registered, and all rituals and festivals are conducted in a grand manner. It has become an important place of worship for the Tamil community living in the area.
