About Our Temple
In the 1960s, the Tamil residents of Cheras Estate neighborhood held Lord Muneeswaran in high regard as their protective deity. During that period, Mr. Kannan performed daily pooja and illuminated a lamp adorned with an image of Ambal. Following 1990, separate places of worship (sannathi) were established for Amman and Shivalinga. Initially practicing sacrificial ceremonies, they later shifted their focus to worshipping Ambal, discontinuing the sacrificial rituals. The temple underwent significant renovation efforts led by Mr. Periyasamy and the temple management, culminating in the inaugural Kumbabhishekam celebration in 2005. Devotees visiting the temple have experienced answered prayers, prompting them to personally contribute to the construction of various sannathis within the temple. The temple administration is actively pursuing initiatives to acquire land, seeking support from both the government and plantation owners. With official registration attained, the temple has conducted all poojas smoothly up to the present moment.
