About Our Temple
The Arulmiku Sri Maha Mariamman West Country Temple in the West Country Parade commenced its establishment in 1920. The temple originated from the efforts of individuals employed on rubber plantations in the West Country. Initially, it was a modest gathering situated near the residential area, behind the garden dispensary. The temple has achieved its current level of excellence owing to the sincere dedication and hard work of the West Country Parade workers. In 2008, a significant renovation project was undertaken, starting with the Nagamma temple, Durgai Amman temple, and Muniswarar temple. This marked the beginning of the comprehensive renovation of the entire temple. The state government contributed RM10,000 to support this initiative. An annual temple festival is celebrated on the first day of Chitra's birthday each year. Notably, on April 13, 2014, the Thirukkuda Nanneerattu Perunjanthi Festival took place.
