About Our Temple
The people in the community consider the Arulmiku Sri Maha Shivashakti Mariamman Temple to be extremely powerful. In the shrine, a statue of Dewi Mariaman was constructed in 1950. The temple was initially constructed with zinc roofing and wooden boards. Then, from 1950 until 1960, Mr. Maniam assumed charge of the temple's administration. The area in front of the temple was used to build a new temple in 1975. The government and the Honourable Datuk Michael Chin provided assistance in the construction of the temple. Mr. Ramasamy Mandor then assumed the role of temple president. The first Kumbabhishekam took place in 1975, while the second one took place in 1991. Enhancing the infrastructure has given the temple a fresh appearance. 2014 saw the temple's replacement of the main tower (Rajagopuram). The Rajagopuram was built with the contribution of Datuk Sri E Lan Chin Chong and Kumbabhishekam was held in 2018
