About Our Temple
The Shri Maha Rudra Maariyamman Bukit Asa Temple is situated in Tamam Danau, Hulu Bernam, Selangor, where it has stood for sixty years. Initially, the temple was a small hut frequented by a few estate residents for daily prayers, as there were only 50 households in the area. The location, known as Melegu Thottam or black pepper field. Mr. Mogan, known for his active involvement in temple activities, was appointed as the new chairman by his predecessor due to his dedication. Seeking to construct a larger temple, Mr. Mogan engaged in discussions with the local community. With the support of the residents and after meeting with donors to gather funds for the new temple's construction, everyone contributed generously. Upon assuming leadership of MIC, Mr. Mogan sought assistance from Datuk Palanivel to raise RM1 million for the building of the Shri Maha Rudra Maariyamman Bukit Asa Temple in Taman Danau.
