About Our Temple
In 1969, Mr. Sinapayan and his family founded Sree Sivan Thirukovil, a temple located just 100 meters away from Escort Farm in the primary tin mining region of Hulu, Selangor. The purpose was to address the religious needs of the fifty residents in the area. Erected with devotion, the temple featured houses of worship, sculptures, and artwork, creating a spiritual haven. Religious events and rituals were joyous and well-attended, capturing the hearts and minds of residents and the Indian community from nearby Escort Farm. Since its establishment, Mr. Kunchu Kanan has faithfully served as the priest and custodian of Sree Sivan Thirukovil.
